Belts & Stripes

At Chandler MMA, each martial arts style has its own sequence of belts to mark the student's progress from white belt to black belt.

To mark progress between belts, stripes are placed on the student's belt.

Note: When Tiger Thai students are deemed ready to graduate to the Kids Thai class, their belt level will be determined by Master McGowan.

Similarly: When Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) students turn 16 years old, the BJJ instructors will determine whether that student is at (adult) white belt, blue belt, or (in rare cases) purple belt level.
